Okay, let me say something very quickly before I move on to talk about this project of mine.
When I say "Nate", I don't necessarily mean EpikNate Nate.
This Nate character I've made isn't exactly *me*, I was just getting uncreative in the name department and said "What the heck, I'll name my character after me!"
Genius, right?
So please don't say "Oh he's making a game based off of himself it's bound to suck blablabla."
Because I put time into this thing.
Now that I have that straight...
A SECOND THING FOR ME TO SAY!
This was made in Game Maker 8 Pro.
However, if you played it, you likely would have a pretty hard time telling, because everything about your typical GMK platformer - crappy collisions, lack of concept, ten-second levels - I did my best to eliminate all of that. So, this means no shifting left and right when you hit the ground, no circle for a player that moves by sliding around, and levels will definitely be a decent length.
Give me a chance. :asd:

Controls + Basic Gameplay:
So, you play as Nate, this dude:
You've got your typical platformer controls, which is left and right arrow keys to move, and space to jump. Hold space to jump higher, and hold Z to sprint.
Inspired the classic Crash Bandicoot, you have a spin attack, which can be used by pressing X.
After running for a little while, you'll eventually break the "mini-sound barrier" and your speed will increase greatly.
You can jump or spin to attack enemies, however, some enemies can only be spun into, or jumped on.

Shop & Trinkets:
There will be a shop in the hub which can be used to purchase trinkets and 1-ups.
Trinkets can be bought from the store, or found in levels.
When equipped, they will provide neat perks to assist you in your adventure.
For example, the Startle Charm, found in level 1-1 (Green Genesis), has a 1 out of 20 chance to instead heal you when damaged by an enemy.
The trinkets found in levels are for the most part superior to the trinkets bought in the shop, but it all depends on what kind of perks you want.
Only one trinket can be equipped at a time. I'm trying to get two to work at the moment.

Plot:
You'll have to play the game to find out. As the title suggests, it'll probably involve elements and chaos.
However, a few pieces of info about the plot:
- the main character, Nate, actually has no significance in the plot itself, aside from trying to stop it
- there will be an annoying guide character, inspired by Starlow from Mario and Luigi RPG
- I made one of the villains up when I was six
